Michele Bachmann says she's now advising Donald Trump on foreign policy

During a campaign stop for Donald Trump on Friday night, Minnesota Congresswoman and tea party member Michele Bachmann made the bizarre announcement to reporters that she has been advising the Republican presidential nominee on foreign policy.

Bachmann, who believes that being gay is a form of "personal enslavement," told the crowd assembled outside the Minneapolis Convention Center that she agreed with his more conservative stance on immigration. 

"He also recognizes there is a threat around the world, not just here in Minnesota, of radical Islam," she said, according to Minnesota Public Radio. "I wish our President Obama also understood the threat of radical Islam and took it seriously."

Though Bachmann might be vocal in her opinions of Trump's immigration plan, what the plan itself actually entails is something of a mystery.

Trump, who has famously supported building a wall to keep Mexicans out of the United States and a ban on Muslims entering the country, met with a newly-formed Hispanic advisory council on Saturday and made indications that he was open to seeking a "humane and efficient" answer to undocumented immigration into the U.S.

But when Trump's new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, was asked on CNN on Sunday whether or not Trump was serious about creating the "deportation force" he alluded to last November, she said that it was "to be determined."
